Problem

Confusing user journey

The app notified users to save money everyday, which was annoying for most users who preferred to be able to save a larger amount every once in a while

Daily saving was unrealistic and inflexible

The app notified users to save money everyday, which was annoying for most users who preferred to be able to save a larger amount every once in a while

Overwhelming user interface

The app's homepage was flooded with CTAs – 2 primary CTAs, 2 secondary CTAs, and several other smaller buttons.

Solution

Build a simple, intuitive, and seamless experience to help young adults save money and spend it towards their aspirational purchases.

Design process

Having ground our design direction in feedback from users, we used an iterative approach to define key workflows in the app to test with users. We did 2 rounds of internal feedback and revisions and then took our designs to users and did 2 more rounds of usability testing and revision. The flows shown below are the final results of our iterations.

After a few rounds of internal validation and iteration between our founder, product manager and designers, we put together a figma prototype of our core features to test with users.
