THE PROBLEM
Cloud spend is inherently unstructured — every company organizes teams, projects, and environments differently.
Tags let teams label resources according to their own internal logic, but our existing cost visualizations ignored them entirely.
THE CHALLENGE
To build a cost attribution report that could serve two groups:
C-suite stakeholders who needed a high-level view of spend across the business, and FinOps teams who needed a tag-driven breakdown to run chargeback — attributing costs back to the teams that incurred them.
