Phone use at concerts is a paradox: fans want to capture the moment, but heavy phone usage disengages the crowd — and the content rarely makes it back to the artists who could actually use it.

DESIGN PROCESS — DISCOVERY

We wanted to learn about fans and artists relationship with phone use at concerts so we conducted 5 user interviews for each type of stakeholder.

KEY INSIGHTS

Things we learnt about fans — they love being able to relive moments through videos; they want to feel seen by their favorite artists; they want to support their favorite artists.


Things we learnt about artists — they want access to content so that they can keep up with social media demands; they want to know who their biggest fans are; they want their audience to be engaged with their performance.

DESIGN PROCESS — CONCEPT TESTING

We tested an early concept of our idea that focussed on streamlining the process for artists to collect content from fans online.

TESTING RESULTS

We used a Likert scale from 1-5 and asked both user types two questions. First, how likely they are to recommend to a fellow artist/fan (1 being not likely at all and 5 being extremely likely) and second, how frequently they would use Rezonate (1 being never and 5 being for every event).
